Volunteer New Starter Meeting

Once a volunteer’s application has been processed and they are ready to start volunteering then they should be invited to a new starter meeting (although it may be called something different).

This meeting may include:

  • a welcome to the team
  • a general induction
  • a visit to the area they will be volunteering and an introduction to the manager / team and the role
  • a local induction in the department that they will be volunteering
  • issuing of ID badges
  • issuing of uniform (if appropriate)
  • agreeing a date / time for them to start volunteering
